Inspirational Mood Board: Pretty Little Mess
Hi there, Antonia is writing. I had to prepare this mood board and I loved the result! It represents my passions and inspirations. Enjoy my pretty mess!
So, what inspires me? Flowers!
This morning we both woke up very early and went to the flower market. It usually closes by 11 am, so at 8 pm we were there choosing our flowers. We had so much fun there and I was glad that we did it together, with my beloved Fabio.
Now, look at these graceful autumn dahlias, aren't they beautiful? I do not know how you feel about dahlias, but I adore them. They are full of grace and light. Did you notice the blue delphinium in the tall vase? Such a gentle flower. Then some stems of celosia cristata. I remember my grand-grand-mother, she used to grow celosia in the garden, so every time I see this velvety magenta flower, it reminds me of our old family house and the pretty little garden that unfortunately doesn't exist anymore.
Well, what's next in the mood board? There is art, our paintings and books on artists that inspire us both as well as other books that we both re-read often, like Julia Cameron's The Artist Way. We love old and used objects, all kinds of paints and brushes, my Chinese ink stone, which I use when I do ink wash painting, along with pencils, my garden scissors and two stones that help to keep your feet on the ground.
Did you like my colorful mess?
Oh lovely! Love your take on the moodboard. A vignette is exactly that, isn't it? Popping in via BYW. So lovely to be here:)
